Notes
The comparison includes six information security service providers. The metrics are certificate, 24/7 monitoring and penetration testing, because no company publishes prices before contact.
The information has been read from the companies' own websites. If no mention was found on the website, the value is empty and the reason is shown in the section. A missing mention does not mean the service does not exist.
About this comparison
We scored 6 providers of corporate security services operating in Finland on 21 metrics: description of the service range and 24/7 monitoring, transparency of certifications and response time, openness of pricing, reachability, technical quality of the site and data quality. The key question: does the company state the content of the service, the certifications and the monitoring openly, or does it hide everything behind a request-a-quote form?
A corporate information security service means outsourced cyber security work: continuous monitoring (SOC), threat detection and response, security testing and audits, as well as consulting and security management. Finland has both providers specialised in continuous monitoring and firms focused on consulting and testing. The comparison scores how openly the provider discloses the content of its service, its certifications, the coverage of its monitoring and its reachability.
What transparency means in this category
Content of security services (monitoring, auditing, testing, consulting) clearly described (12), certifications (ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001, SOC 2 etc.) displayed by name (20), round-the-clock monitoring service or SOC clearly described (16), response time, service level agreement (SLA) or on-call duty stated (12), pricing, starting price or pricing model stated without a quote request (12), references or customer stories displayed (10), service and support available in Finnish (10), business ID (Y-tunnus) or responsible company clearly displayed (8)
How to read the comparison correctly: Half of the points come from buyer's questions, i.e. things the buyer finds out before deciding. The other half measures how openly the company publishes its prices, terms and contact details. Clear differences in points indicate a genuine difference: one tells you the price immediately, another only after logging in. Close scores should not be read as a ranking order, because every measurement has a margin of variation. The measurement accuracy and the full calculation formula are open in the methodology.
Customer experience is brought into the assessment separately. We also collect customer feedback and customer experiences about companies through separate surveys. The survey results will be added to the overall assessment later.
Business cybersecurity services are almost always priced case by case. The price depends on the size of the environment, the number of monitored systems and the service level, so few providers publish a fixed price. We still emphasise pricing transparency: even stating the starting price or pricing model makes comparison easier, when many direct straight to a request-a-quote form.
Monitoring service, certifications and response time are decisive. In continuous security monitoring (SOC), round-the-clock monitoring and response are the core of the service, and in auditing and testing services, transparency of methods. We highlight providers that name their certifications (ISO/IEC 27001 etc.), describe the coverage of monitoring and state the response time or on-call arrangement clearly.
Ranking cannot be bought. The ranking is based on publicly verifiable information, not on payments or advertising by the operators. Information behind a bot or login wall is marked as measurement gaps, not as zeros.
Comparison guide
What to consider in the comparison
Corporate information security services are almost always priced case by case according to the size of the environment and the service level, so a fixed price is rarely seen. Even stating a starting price or pricing model is a sign of transparency.
Continuous monitoring (SOC) and auditing are different services: some providers offer round-the-clock monitoring and response, others focus on one-off testing and consulting. Think about which one you need before comparing.
Certifications such as ISO/IEC 27001 show that the provider's own information security has been audited. They are voluntary, so some name them clearly and some do not.
The NIS2 Directive extended cybersecurity requirements to many sectors. Some service providers offer NIS2 readiness assessments and compliance support separately.
How Suomen Paras assesses and scores
Every company is measured with the same public formula: half of the points come from buyer's questions and half from basic metrics, which have four pillars: technical quality, transparency, reachability and AI quality score. Ranking cannot be bought, and you can see the origin of each point on the company's profile. Read the full methodology →
Expert tips
In the request for quote, ask for a concrete response time and a service level commitment (SLA): how quickly a detected threat is responded to and whether monitoring is genuinely 24/7.
Check whether the SOC analysts work in Finland and in Finnish, if that matters to your organisation.
Ask for references from your own industry and check which certifications the provider currently holds.
Find out what the service covers (email, devices, cloud, identities) and what the monthly reporting includes.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a monitoring service and a security audit?
A monitoring service (SOC) is continuous: it watches the environment and responds to threats around the clock. Auditing and testing are one-off assessments that look for vulnerabilities and assess the level of information security at a given moment. Many organisations need both.
Why aren't security service prices shown online?
The price depends on the number of systems monitored, the size of the environment and the service level, so most providers give a price only on the basis of a request for quotation. Some, however, state a starting price or pricing model, which makes comparison easier.
What certifications should you require from a cybersecurity provider?
ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard for information security management and the most common proof that a provider's own information security has been audited. In addition there may be, for example, ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 22301 (continuity). Certifications are voluntary, so naming them indicates transparency.
Is the service available in Finnish?
The providers in the comparison are Finnish or operate in Finland, and the service is mostly available in Finnish. It is still worth checking whether monitoring and support are provided in Finnish and whether the analysts work in Finland.
