We scored 6 online appointment booking software products available in Finland on 20 metrics. The key question: are the monthly price, package contents and any payment commissions stated clearly before you submit your contact details?
Appointment booking software handles online booking, the calendar, reminders and often payments too for a service business. The services differ a lot in pricing model, package contents and transparency. We compared six appointment booking software products available in Finland on whether the monthly price, package contents and any payment fees are stated clearly before you leave your contact details.
Pricing publicly displayed without contacting (25), free trial or free tier stated (15), package contents (calendars, payments, reminders, customer register) itemised (15), contract term and cancellation stated (15), transaction or payment fees stated (10), Finnish-language interface and support (10), owning company stated on the site (10)

How to read the comparison correctly: Score measures how openly a company publishes its prices, terms and contact details, not what kind of service it gives its customers. Clear differences in points indicate a genuine difference: one states the price immediately, another only after logging in. Close scores should not be read as a ranking order, because every measurement has a margin of variation. The measurement accuracy and the entire calculation formula have been laid open in the methodology.
Customer experience is brought into the assessment separately. We also collect customer feedback and customer experiences about the companies through separate surveys. The results will be added later to the overall assessment, so that the Score tells not only about transparency but also about how customers experience the company's service.
Pricing is fragmented. Some charge a monthly price per calendar (Vello) or per user, some a fixed monthly package (DigitalBooker, Timma Pro) and some extra charges on top of a free basic tier. Compare against your actual use, not just the cheapest starting price.
See what is actually included in the package. Online calendar, text message reminders, payment reception, cash register and customer register are often add-ons at different prices. The cheapest basic tier may in practice be too thin for a service business.
Only some of the services are Finnish. Vello, Timma, DigitalBooker and Diarium operate from Finland in Finnish, while SimplyBook.me and Calendly are international. We show the owning company for each.
Every company is measured with the same public formula across four pillars: technical quality, transparency, reachability and AI quality assessment. A ranking cannot be bought, and you can see the origin of every point on the company's profile. Read the full methodology →
Prices vary by model. The cheapest packages in the comparison start at about 15 euros per month, and the price grows with users, calendars and add-ons. Some services offer a free basic tier. The comparison shows each service's pricing model.
Find out whether you pay per calendar, per user or a fixed monthly package, and weigh the package contents against your actual use. Remember to add an estimate for text message reminders and payment transaction fees, because they are not always included in the base price.
Not always. With many services, online payments and card payments are charged as a transaction fee (for example a percentage of the transaction) and text message reminders at a per-message price. The comparison checks whether the service states these fees clearly.
Of the six services in the comparison, four operate from Finland in Finnish and two are international, whose interface is partly available in Finnish but whose support and pricing are in English. We show the owning company for each.
