We scored 6 e-signature services available in Finland on 20 metrics. The key question: are the price, eIDAS level and strong authentication stated clearly before you hand over your contact details?
Electronic signing replaces paper and pen: the contract is signed online or on mobile, and the signature is legally binding under the EU eIDAS Regulation. The services nevertheless differ a lot in pricing model, level of authentication and transparency. We compared six services available in Finland by whether the price, the eIDAS level and strong authentication are stated clearly before you leave your contact details.
Pricing publicly displayed without contacting (25), free trial or free tier stated (15), eIDAS level (simple, advanced or QES) stated (15), strong authentication (bank ID, mobile certificate) supported (15), data location (EU or domestic) and GDPR stated (10), API or integrations documented (10), owning company stated on the site (10)

How to read the comparison correctly: Score measures how openly a company publishes its prices, terms and contact details, not what kind of service it gives its customers. Clear differences in points indicate a genuine difference: one states the price immediately, another only after logging in. Close scores should not be read as a ranking order, because every measurement has a margin of variation. The measurement accuracy and the entire calculation formula have been laid open in the methodology.
Customer experience is brought into the assessment separately. We also collect customer feedback and customer experiences about the companies through separate surveys. The results will be added later to the overall assessment, so that the Score tells not only about transparency but also about how customers experience the company's service.
Pricing models are completely different. Some charge a monthly package (Visma Sign, Oneflow, Docusign), others only for completed signatures with no monthly fee (Bink). So compare against your actual usage, not just the cheapest starting price.
The eIDAS level determines the legal weight. A light (drawn) signature is enough for many purposes, but strong authentication with bank credentials or a mobile certificate and the QES level are a different matter. Check which level each service offers before you choose.
Only some of the services are Finnish. Visma Sign and Bink operate from Finland, the others are Swedish, Norwegian or American. We show the owning company for each.
Every company is measured with the same public formula across four pillars: technical quality, transparency, reachability and AI quality assessment. A ranking cannot be bought, and you can see the origin of every point on the company's profile. Read the full methodology →
Yes. An electronic signature under the EU eIDAS Regulation is legally binding. Strong authentication (bank credentials or mobile certificate) and a qualified-level (QES) signature give the strongest evidential value.
A light, i.e. drawn, signature is made for example with a mouse or finger, and it is enough for many everyday situations. A strong signature requires identification with bank credentials or a mobile certificate, in which case the signatory's identity has been verified.
Some services charge a monthly package, others only for signatures actually completed. Estimate your annual number of signatures and compare it with the package contents and the price of an additional signature beyond the package. The comparison shows each service's pricing model.
Of the six services in the comparison, two operate from Finland; the others are Swedish, Norwegian or American. We show the owning company for each.
