We scored 6 private aesthetic surgery clinics on 22 metrics. The key question for the patient: are procedure prices shown in euros and is it stated what the price includes (follow-up checks, suture removal, possible warranty work) before the consultation, or does the price become clear only at the appointment?
Aesthetic surgery prices vary wildly between clinics, and the biggest difference from the patient's point of view is not just the price level but how openly the clinic states the price and its contents in advance. We compared six private plastic surgery clinics on whether procedure prices are shown in euros, what the price includes, which surgeons perform the procedures, and what the consultation and financing terms are.
Procedure prices in euros publicly displayed before consultation (24), what the price includes itemised (follow-up checks, suture removal, operating theatre, warranty work) (16), surgeons' names and qualifications (specialist doctor) displayed (13), price of consultation or appointment fee stated (10), aftercare and check-ups described (follow-up checks, recovery) (10), anaesthesia or local anaesthetic options stated (8), operating licence, patient insurance or supervising authority mentioned (7), financing or instalment option stated (6), business ID (Y-tunnus) or operating company displayed on the site (6)

How to read the comparison correctly: Score measures how openly a company publishes its prices, terms and contact details, not what kind of service it gives its customers. Clear differences in points indicate a genuine difference: one states the price immediately, another only after logging in. Close scores should not be read as a ranking order, because every measurement has a margin of variation. The measurement accuracy and the entire calculation formula have been laid open in the methodology.
Customer experience is brought into the assessment separately. We also collect customer feedback and customer experiences about the companies through separate surveys. The results will be added later to the overall assessment, so that the Score tells not only about transparency but also about how customers experience the company's service.
The comparison covers private aesthetic (plastic) surgery clinics, not individual procedures or surgeons. The scores show how openly the clinic presents the price, what the price includes, the surgeons' qualifications and the terms of treatment before the consultation.
The final price of a procedure is always individual and is determined after examination. A public price example or price list is a comparable starting point for the patient, not a binding final price.
The clinic's statutory operating licence and healthcare supervision (Valvira and the regional state administrative agencies) apply to all operators and are therefore not a comparison metric as such. The metric is whether the clinic discloses these and its patient insurance openly.
Every company is measured with the same public formula across four pillars: technical quality, transparency, reachability and AI quality assessment. A ranking cannot be bought, and you can see the origin of every point on the company's profile. Read the full methodology →
The price is affected by the method used, type of anaesthesia, duration of surgery, supplies and how much aftercare and follow-up checks are included in the price. It is therefore worth comparing the prices of different clinics as a whole, not just as a single figure.
It varies. Some clinics state that the price includes all check-ups, suture removal and aftercare, while at others some of these are billed separately. Check this in writing before the procedure.
The consultation, or reception, fee is the price of the first doctor's visit, used to assess the need for the procedure and make a plan. It is separate from the price of the procedure itself, and many clinics add an outpatient clinic or office fee to it.
Many clinics offer financing or instalment payment, for example an interest-free payment period or monthly instalments. Terms and lender vary, so compare the real cost including interest.
